Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

AI is a Piece of Cake (AIAPC) is an AI literacy newsletter and product suite for professionals — lawyers, physicians, educators, and executives. Aloha AI Consulting is an independent AI advisory practice. Both are owned and operated by RN Collins, based in Hawaii, United States.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide our services:

• Email address — only after you send the prepared email or contact us directly. Merely filling the webpage form does not transmit it to AIAPC. Newsletter subscription and product checkout are not currently open.
• Name — required by the current inquiry form so we can respond appropriately.
• Message content — only after you send the prepared email from your own email application.
• No site analytics at present — this deployment does not load a visitor analytics or behavioral-tracking script.
• No purchase information at present — checkout is not open and this site does not collect payment information.

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not collect IP addresses, fingerprint browsers, or build behavioral profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for specific, limited purposes:

• For a future newsletter or product-announcement program only after a separate subscription flow opens and the visitor affirmatively opts in.
• To respond to an inquiry after the visitor reviews and sends the prepared email from their own email application.
• To deliver future purchased products only after checkout opens under separate purchase terms.
• No newsletter, checkout, automated inquiry-delivery, or purchase-email program is active on this deployment.

We do not use your email address for advertising, retargeting, or any purpose beyond the above.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the site and newsletter. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Beehiiv — named as the planned newsletter provider, but no live Beehiiv subscription form is connected to this deployment.
• Current contact mode — the form prepares an addressed draft in your own email application. The site does not receive, store, or claim delivery of the message until you choose to send that email. A same-origin automated endpoint exists for future activation but is fail-closed and is not used by the current form because storage and email credentials are not configured.
• Vercel — hosts and serves this deployment. No Vercel Analytics script is loaded by the site. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata under Vercel's privacy policy.
• Gumroad — identified as a possible future checkout provider, but no Gumroad checkout is active on this deployment.

Beehiiv and Gumroad are disclosed as planned providers only; they do not receive visitor data from this deployment. The current webpage does not transmit inquiry content to Formspree or another form processor.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes. Full stop.

6. Data Retention

The website itself does not store the current form fields. If you send the prepared email, the resulting correspondence is retained only as long as needed to respond, administer the requested relationship, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. A deletion request will be acted on within 30 days unless retention is legally required.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Newsletter status — no live newsletter subscription is currently collected through this deployment. Any future newsletter will provide an unsubscribe control before subscriptions open.
• Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — you can request that we delete your personal data from our records.

To exercise any of these rights, email collins.ra@northeastern.edu with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 10 business days.

8. Data Security

Our site is served over HTTPS. No subscriber database is connected to this deployment. If you send an email, access to that correspondence is limited to the operator and the email providers involved in transmission. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for professionals and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this policy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hawaii.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter. Your continued use of our services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
